CIVIL ENGINEER/GIS SPECIALIST
The City of Ames, IA is seeking a Civil Engineer/GIS Specialist. This position completes plans, specifications, and contract documents for public infrastructure projects, develops and utilizes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other resources to perform analysis of engineering-related data, and supervises Public Works drafting and mapping personnel.
Requires bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field and two years of professional engineering work experience. Certification as an Engineer Intern in the Civil Branch as granted by the State of Iowa is required within six months of appointment. One year of GIS experience and experience in a local government supervisory role is preferred.
Salary range is $43,760 -$63,976 plus benefits.
